Sponsored by City of Salina
The North Ohio Grade Separation is 1,000' long, crossing the
Union Pacific Railroad yard. This project is the major northern gateway
to town providing increased access, continuity with greenways, bicycle
paths, and trails. The project includes lighting angled in the direction of
traffic, path lights, custom concrete rail inspired patterning and paving,
patterned landscape, swales, and custom fencing over the Union Pacific
tracks. Vicki Scuri, VS Siteworks and Mark Spitzer Designs provided
a conceptual art and urban design plan for the project and they are
involved in the implementation of all elements with Wilson & Company,
HNTB and Patti Banks Associates.
